How it all started
Customizables is run by a team of seven driven board-game enthousiasts.
It all started in 2024 in the town of Enschede, in the Netherlands, when we noticed that the chess sets we owned all looked virtually identical. This is what sparked our initial idea. Unfortunately, none of us had extensive 3D-design knowledge, and looking for different-looking chess sets online, we only found a small selection of very expensive sets.
This made us think of our revolutionary idea of merging a social network for creativity and self expression with an e-commerce website, allowing a mutually beneficial relationship between buyers and designers.
